I just have a few left and before I start assembling and creating merchandise for shows and festivals in 2010 I’m offering these at a discount.

These are a tapestry-style weaving, not an imprint, and the blankets are made in the USA of 100% USA-grown cotton. All blankets are fringed with black and white fringe on the sides and multi-color fringe on the top and bottom. They are so soft and comfortable that I’ve been using some of my samples.

On the Eve of the Big Storm, Dusk in the Woods

Dusk in the Woods

Every once in a while I do a painting that comes straight from the heart. I wandered onto this scene one Sunday evening after a quick, heavy snowfall with only my camera. I photographed it, intending to come back to do a painting–difficult as that would be at this time of day when the light changes so quickly. But by noon the next day the snow had melted significantly, and then I waited for similar conditions for two years with no significant snowfall around the right time, about 5:00 p.m. in mid January, or early December as the time of day and light would be about the same.

I couldn’t wait any longer and began with my photos and ended with my vision, this painting, Dusk in the Woods. You can read more about its creation on my blog, The Creative Cat, and also visit this work and other related works on my website in Landscapes or Art of the Watershed.

I sell this image as a 5″ x 7″ greeting card, and I also have a range of prints both framed and unframed, from inexpensive digital prints beginning at 8″ x 10″ all the way up to the highest quality giclee prints at the full size of the painting, 31″ x 24″. I also carry it in a woven cotton blanket, mentioned earlier in this blog–in fact, this painting inspired me to have those blankets made in the first place!

IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS

Th U.S. Postal Service is really reliable right before the holidays, and I’m fairly certain that if I ship Priority Mail on Monday greeting cards can arrive by Thursday, December 24. The blankets and smaller unframed prints would probably arrive on time as well. Other items, especially framed items, may not although in the past I’ve been pleasantly surprised. If I have the item in stock I will ship as soon as possible, and if you’d care to pay an extra $10 or $15 for one- or two-day shipping, I’ll be glad to accommodate via USPS Express Mail or Fedex.
